Firefox Screen Grab

How many times have you had to make multiple screen shots of a scrolling page so you could ship it off to someone? Miserable stuff, I tell you. Check out this extension that will let you make a PNG out of your window, your viewport (the window without the nav/status/scroll bars), and the entire document.

The Matrix Has You

Some quick back-story: I currently weigh 365 lbs. I need to weigh a whole lot less (probably 60% of that). I made the decision a few weeks ago to change. I’ve been hitting the gym 5 days a week with a commitment to at least 4 of those days. My intake is a 180° from [...]

HTML Email

I use a text-only email reader called mutt. When I sign up for updates and what-not, I tell them that I want the text version of their email. Most mailing applications will, at the very least, send multi-part messages so you have the option. Others decide to send HTML-only email.
So, assuming that the vendor wants [...]

Lifehacker Tips

One of the sites I visit daily is Lifehacker. It’s got some great content and is particularly tasty via RSS. This morning I submitted a tip about firefox bookmarks.

Fat Man Walking

Check out The Fat Man Walking for an inspirational story about a man and his belly. If you read nothing else, check out his initial post explaining why he’s doing something so nutty as walking from Oceanside, CA to NYC.

Recursive Writing

Writing about writing. I feel like I might implode simply by doing this, but I’m willing to chance it just to get some words on the page. My initial goal was to put something up every day and you can see how that’s failed miserably. I’m having a hard time coming up with content. So [...]

Certifications

I was reading this post at Unix Review on Certification Issues and Thoughts. It’s worth a read if you’ve got a few minutes especially if you’re considering picking up a few pieces of paper to prove what you know.
I’m firmly on the Cisco track at the moment, but Microsoft is rearing its ugly head often. [...]

Movie Reviews

I was cruising Technorati and found my movie-reviewing counterpart’s blog entitled Stuff By Steve. Check out his movie reviews smartly categorized as 60-second, 6-minute, and collectively as “movie reviews”.
An excerpt from a review of “Batman Begins”:
Deftly portrayed by Christian Bale, Wayne was a brooding, pensive, tormented orphan-heir to a fortune and a whole lot of [...]

Recurring Reminders

The backpack service I reviewed a few days ago in this article has come back with recurring reminders. Very slick, indeed–now I have to rush over there and define several. =)

Copy URL Plus

Are you the news hub for your circle of friends? Do they rely on you to paste them tasty morsels of news stories only to request the source URL later after you’ve closed your browser? The Copy URL + plugin is for you.
My usual routine was:

Copy the interesting bit of text.
Right-click > Paste as Text [...]
