Are you the news hub for your circle of friends? Do they rely on you to paste them tasty morsels of news stories only to request the source URL later after you’ve closed your browser? The Copy URL + plugin is for you.

My usual routine was:

• Copy the interesting bit of text.
• Right-click > Paste as Text (I hate having my formatting hosed).
• Move to the beginning of the text, put a quote, move to the end, put a quote.
• Send the message.
• Answer questions about context.
• Depending on their interest, hunt up the whole URL for them.

With the uberness that is copy paste plus:

• Copy the interesting bit of text.
• Choose “URL + Title”, “URL + Selection”, ‘or “URL + Title + Selection”.
• Paste the composite goodness (without worrying about formatting) to your friend’s chat frame.
