Back to Basics

A couple weeks ago I decided to go to a 4-day muscle split workout with 1-2 days of cardio (Wednesday & one weekend day). Two weeks in a row I missed my workout on the cardio day. My weight loss came to a halt and I actually bounced back up to 315 for a while. I’m back down to 304 this morning and I’ve re-vamped my workout yet again to include 3 days resistance and 3 days cardio.

Doing two muscle groups on the same day is hard. I don’t remember it being this difficult. I was able to get through 3 sets of the first muscle group but the second group was almost always X’d out for the third set. Like anything it’s going to take some time for my body to get used to it again. I was able to do this for weeks without a problem and I was seeing fat loss, muscle gain, and various other NSV (non-scale victories).
