Wagon Surfing

The last couple weeks have played hell with my schedule.

Between Disneyland with the family and the extended weekend over the July 4th holiday I haven’t been eating right, getting enough sleep (or too much, in some cases), or getting to the gym. The scale don’t lie, folks—10 lbs put right back on. I don’t see it, so it has to be somewhere inconspicuous, right?

This morning I rolled out of bed at 3am and hit the gym. The other change-up I’m putting into effect is weights and cardio on the same day. If I know that I’m just going to be on the hampster wheel I make excuses not to go. Starting this morning I’m lifting 5 days a week and doing cardio on the same days. I’ll probably have to mix that up soon but to start it off it’ll get me back in the habit of sweating profusely once a day. Weekends are going to be off-limits unless Ivy wants to hit the gym at some point.

Here’s to getting back on the wagon.
