Over the last few days I’ve been thinking about this blog and its purpose. I figure one part of it is staying accountable for my weight loss and exercise. If I’m musing about it publicly, and start slacking, I figure one of my readers will jab me hard in the side and say, “hey you, get back on the wagon or I’ll jab you again…”

I keep a page on backpack titled: Lessons. I thought about formatting the blog like that, too: my own personal Aesop’s fables.

At work I learned that the perl module Text::CSV_PP is a pure perl alternative for Text::CSV_XS that’s slower but written in pure perl. At play I learned that John and Olive are the same street and change at Broadway in Seattle. They’re not pithy or succinct, but they’re tidbits of information I’ll use again.
