Trials of Returning

Returning from vacation is always tough on me. Due to Second Day Syndrome I’m having to force myself back into the gym routine. Rising at a reasonable time is a difficult because I’m stuck on staying up late the previous night. It’s just a bunch of different hurdles I have to clear in order to get back on track.

Thankfully this was a short week. I caught up on email, updated the software on my laptop, and sorted out a few lingering issues on engagements I’d left weeks ago. It’s the weekend now which leads me right into my week of jury duty. More on that later.

I also did our annual circling of the wagons, financially. I cancelled accounts we no longer needed, and trimmed back on accounts we wanted to keep but had extra features we didn’t use. One of the casualties was our World of Warcraft accounts. Ironically, as I sit here thinking about my weekend and what I might do I’m left with not much. Getting in a bike ride is looking pretty good though. I wonder how much I’d have to do to get that sucker road-worthy again.

Okay even though my comments don’t make it on the blog, I’m gonna keep posting them anyway until you cave in!

Maybe its just me, but I always feel an uknown release of stress I didn’t know I had every time I “clean” up accounts and lower my monthly costs, even by a few dollars. Of course over time it all creeps back up, but seems weird that such a little thing can make one mentally saner.

I see now that you quit WoW you can come back and play EQ2, because you gotta do something with your spare time besides exercise! You know how many points that steak probably was? LOL j/k, i had a mini steak last night too, damn it was tasty.
